Emilia is home!!!!

Yes, the merry married couple reunited Saturday at 1:00 P.M., in America,Portland airport. Our second presentation at the conference was a sucess. we had about twenty-five people dancing between the two sites, Portland, Oregon and Gold Coast, Australia (Via Internet videoconferencing). About fifteen people at the Gold Coast site did not wish to dance, and just watched. Too bad for them. The dancers had a blast! Thanks to all who prayed for us. Emilia made a couple of cool contacts on that side of the Pacific, and we are ready to work toward the next step. Oh, for those who are unfamiliar with academic conferences, we had bad time slots, so the fact that we got as many as we did on the second day (70+ on our dating presentation) and especially on the third day with our dance presentation (When nobody attends presentations because they are networking) is wonderful. (concurrent sessions to boot)

1st presentation achieved!

We just did our dating presentation at 11:00 P.M. USA time. It was a thirty minute discussion on dating. The echo from my voice was pretty bad on my end, and it was bugging me out, but I got through it. I hope the Australian folk liked the presentation. I believe they could hear me clearly. The tables they were sitting at were round and the room looked nice. It is late, so I think I will end here.

For those of you interested in where Emilia is hanging out this week, go to the above link and check out some photos. Gold Coast is a beutiful location. Emilia got into Gold Coast without too much trouble. She had some minor adjustment issues, and she has lost her phone card. Prayer is requested for her safty, health and travels back home. Also, prayer is requested for the conference, that all goes well. Our first presentation occurs at 11:00 P.M. tonight, and the second presentation occurs at 5:00 P.M. on thursday. So far we are still on track for our videoconference link-up, which means Emilia and I will talk face to face, accross the ocean, for the first time since Sunday (when she took off from America) in just few hours. :-) It is about 7,314 miles or 11,771 Kilometers that seperates us at this moment. Other side of the world, eh?

Hello and welcome to the next transition of the Ramey couple. We are Beta-testing our Internet mediated Inclusive Dance company at an International Autism conference in Gold Coast Australia on Thursday. Before Em boarded the plane last night, we were talking about how freaky it was to be road-testing a new application of computer software in an international forum. I was assuring her that we are ready, and we are, but it is a bit overwhelming to ponder that, in a couple of days, we get a shot to lay the foundation for a social entrepreneurial idea that we have been fantasizing about for months. Success could happen to us very soon, within a year. We are still unable to pay for my needed medical care, nor have we found a source to cover it yet, but so far I am still living, and still mentally functional, so praises go to HIM who is the author of all the living. When ameriKa fails and/or attempts to oppress its citizenry, our maker thwarts the attempt. My teeth are still hurting (All eight teeth effected), and my seizures are still occurring. So, I request prayer from all you Christian folks out there. Also, prayer for income generation. We would like some form of paid work for our hands. Sometimes it gets old hearing from employers “you are very qualified to perform the job, but you do not quite fit the culture of our company. (Translation: we do not like you, or we are afraid of you…get out freak!) Hopefully we will be able to generate some money out of a computer mediated theater company, since it seems that traditional employment does not seem to be possible for someone of my limited capabilities. Okay, frustration session over.
