Midnight Relections

There are times when the world seems to be chompin' at the bit, attempting to tear you to pieces, and there are times when you realize that you are completely blessed. Today is a day that covers both ends of the spectrum. Lately I have been having a ton of seizure activity, and it is getting worse. I have not found a method of accessing treatment, to get the seizures under control, and the most likely method, the Washington Basic Health plan, is looking like a year or more before they will authorize treatment. None of the free dentists will work on my teeth till I can get the siezures under control, so my teeth continue to rot in my head, which is also adding to my stress, which is also adding to my seizures. Finances are still on the downside, and I have to watch my wife cry in frustration regularly because we are forced to live in AmeriKa, land governed by the insane, for the Power Elite. Despite the fact that I am not able to give my wife the universe, I am happy to be the man to have his shoulder cied upon, I am happy that I am trusted enough to be talked to by her, I am happy that I have wonderful friends who like us because we are who we are and not because we have monetary value, I am happy that I can bless other people with what little wisdom I have acquired, I am happy that our book project is approaching completion, I am happy that there are other Good projects to follow, I am happy that my disability enables me to take a more objective look at the world. I hate the lifestyle that I have to live in now, but I love the life I was given, and I love the woman that I have to share it with.

wild weekend adventure

We had quite the adventure this last weekend. We rented a rug doctor from Fred Meyer and steam cleaned our carpet. This was after moving all the furniture into the kitchen and onto the patio. Then, after we were done cleaning, and the carpet had dried, we put everything back. But not in the same spots! We rearranged the furniture, and now the appartment is actually a lot nicer. The new arrangement makes the space more workable and livable. All that is left to do is a little more clutter reduction, and this place will be awesome, and ready for lots of company and dinner parties! yeah!
The cats were quite dismayed with this entire process, but they have recovered nicely. In fact, they now have a nice perch for looking out the window that they very much enjoy.
My parents will be coming to visit us at the end of the month, so it was good to get the carpets washed and the furniture rearranged. We are looking forward to seeing them. It has been an adventuresome time for the whole family. I just got a postcard from Ron and Ruth Ann(brother & sister-in-law), they sent it from New York City, one of their many stops on this practice run at sales for Ron. Also, their first child is expected in October (I think it is October) Gwen and Kris (sister & brother-in-law) are ready to start their house very soon. It should be done by Christmas (but hopefully sooner). When it is done, Dad plans to visit them for a while and help with the landscaping (since they live in Hawaii, there is no 'winter season' for gardening)

Rameys perform again

For all those who are interested in the performance activity of the Ramey couple, we are performing this weekend inthe Oregon Coalition of Dance's annual festival. We were thinking about auditioning, but did not get around to it, than we recieved an invite to perform. What a deal!!! We pereform on Sunday, a Jazz/Ballet influenced contemporary piece, with the "Best Man" from our wedding. Click on the little pics to make them big. Jody is listed in the first pic, both of us are listed on the sixth, Jody on the seventh, and Jody on the ninth. Why is Jody listed so much? This is a choreography festival, highlighting "the scene" here in the northwest. I choreographed the piece, so this is why. If you can come, the tickets are expensive, but it is a benifit concert, so this is why. If you cn not ome, you can at least read the program. We hope to have a couple of pics up from the show in a few weeks.

Peace,

Jody
